Bricks aka House Bricks, Building Bricks

In the UK today, just over a dozen manufactures produce approximately two billion bricks from over 60 factories located nationwide, whilst just less than a dozen companies import an additional 400 million bricks from Europe.
The majority of these bricks are made from clay and are 65mm × 215mm × 102.5mm in size.
Some concrete bricks and alternatives size formats available but they are in the minority by comparison.
The new build housing market is the biggest user of bricks. However, commercial buildings and the housing improvement and extension market also use large numbers collectively.
Ibstock own the UK’s newest brick factory, located in the West Midlands, Newcastle Under Lyme in a village called Chesterton it produced its first bricks 26th June 2013.
